some of the flounders ( sole fish ) are live .

Fresh salmon ( excuse the pink color it's due to my faulty camera )
- it is caught in the ocean and called the wild salmon ( not bred in the sea ) .
The salmon do turn red when they are spawning - not good for eating then .
The fishes are fresh and sold at a good price

Children are fascinated and curious - enjoys touching the live sea urchins .

It is the season for crabs
Lovely and delicious crabs - all caught from the sea ( not mud crabs )
- it is sold at C$9 each crab about 2 lbs .
It is also the season for sea prawns.
Beautiful and fresh prawns .
Was C$10 for 3 lbs ( last year ) now C$5 per lb !
Smaller fresh prawns for C$4 per lb.

Stevenson village is well known as one of the Fishing ports and Sea Food processing area in Vancouver.
The grand old days of Sea Food processing is over but the harbor and jetty now serve as a leisurely place for sea food and sea food market .
The many restaurants serve good Seafood and fine dining and Pajos floating platform serves the best fish n chips.
It is now a great place for the Tourists and the locals as well .
Whale watching and Fishing Trips are also available at the Fishermen's wharf .
